Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Below a pond and tucked behind a hedgerow on the edge of a permaculture smallholding, our charming shepherds hut is the perfect hideaway for those looking for an eco farm stay or self-made retreat. 'Muggans' (named after the Mugwort that grows by the steps) is entirely off-grid and has everything you'll need for a comfortable and memorable getaway, including a wood burning stove to keep you cozy, a wood fired hot tub to soak in under the stars and pizza oven for luxury campfire cooking.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

Couthie Cooshed in the Cairngorms

Lovely holiday cottage in the Cairngorms for two with open plan kitchen living area, cosy sleeping gallery, contemporary shower room and private patio. The Couthie Cooshed is cosy well appointed and is set in a private garden on the edge of fields. This barn is a wonderful place to relax and unwind in the country surrounded by fields and wildlife. A very comfortable, heated, beautifully appointed Shepards hut with stunning views over the Tay valley. An ideal location to relax, reconnect and explore the magic of Perthshire. We have ancient Caledonian woodlands for you to explore, full of incredible wildlife and a wild swimming pond for those looking for a cold water fix - look us up under cotwild The Shepards hut sleeps 2 adults & 2 children under 12yrs on a sofa bed sleeping bag. 2 well behaved dogs welcome.

Pinewood cottage

Beautiful views from a great vantage point on Bennachie this rustic cottage is ideally located for hillwalking, sightseeing or simply getting away from it all. Only 10 minutes drive from Inverurie and a short walk over the hill from the pitodrie house hotel which offers luxury dining and a cozy bar. There is also a riding school nearby and of course all the walking trails are on your doorstep. We are pet friendly but the garden is not enclosed.

A Luxury Lodge in the Heart of Royal Deeside

Charleston Lodge is a 45 x 20ft wide lodge & has an outstanding view from the private deck area. A tranquil oasis away from the hustle & bustle, but only a 10 minute drive to the nearest shops in Banchory. Free Wi Fi. private Parking 4.pm arrival is normally requested but an earlier arrival time may be possible if the lodge is ready. Please just ask. Departure time is 10.am so that the lodge can be serviced in good time for next guests.

Nochty Studio |Strathdon |Cairngorms National Park

A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
