My 100-year-old house has color and character, a wrap-around deck, views of water and Mt. Rainier, friendly neighbors, and lush landscape. A relaxing 20-minute ferry trip from West Seattle or Water Taxi from downtown Seattle brings you to your own private cozy, Studio cottage with sweeping views of the Sound. This jewel of an island is located a quick 20 minute ferry boat ride from Seattle but is a paradise getaway from the bustle of life. The house, comfortable but elegant, has a truly breathtaking panoramic view of the Puget Sound and a private deck where you can sit back and watch the sun rise or set. Please Note: Because of Covid-19, we stipulate one day between the departure of a guest and the arrival of the next guest to allow our housecleaner adequate time to safely clean the house.

Westside Cabin

Our place is just a few miles from the Fauntleroy/Vashon ferry terminal, and minutes from the town of Vashon. Tucked snuggly on the West side of the island, the cabin looks west over Colvos Passage. The cabin itself is essentially a spacious studio-- one large room with a loft, a small kitchen, and bathroom. A queen size bed is in the loft, and the couch comfortably sleeps one person. The bathroom has a large clawfoot soaking tub, and there is an outdoor shower. It is extremely cozy!

KVI Beach Bungalow

Our bungalow is located in the Chautauqua beach community. It is the perfect location to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. While it is not a waterfront property, the beach, known as KVI beach, is a stone's throw away. Central to the interior of the open beamed bungalow is a stone faced Envirotech masonry fireplace. Surrounding the masonry are the living room, office, dining area, kitchen and bedroom. Appliances are Fischer Paykel--propane cooktop & electric oven.

Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.
