Nestled in native bush surrounding Paihia, Kereru Lodge is located a just a short walk from the town centre. Close to the intercity bus depot, main wharf, as well as bars and restaurants. This is a self catering, air-conditioned apartment with a spacious open plan living area, a separate bedroom and bathroom. Guests have their own patio with sea views across to the bay to Russell. The kitchen has a microwave, 2-ring hob and tea/coffee making facilities. While we are only 3.2 km from the centre of Paihia, it is a hilly walk. There is a lot to see and do here so make sure your stay isn't too short to experience what is available.

Like a magic carpet ride in the canopy of the forest. A 120 year old Kauri villa was about to be torn down. We rescued the French doors, sarking, weatherboards, windows, flooring and shower fittings, then used them to build a space nestled into the forest slope, so that with all sets of French doors open, you're not looking down at the canopy. You're living inside it. Everything has had a life before this place. You can feel it.

Our Apartment is situated within walking distance of two beaches, cafes, bars and nightlife in Paihia. It is only a 5 minute walk to where you can hire bikes, kayaks and sailboards. A further 5 minutes will have you arriving at the centre of town where you will be able to book fishing trips, parasailing, ferry ride to Russell and scenic helicopter flights over the Bay of Islands.
