The Post Office transports you to another time and place, our heritage-listed accomodation is the heart of the beautiful town of Waratah. Opposite the Waratah Waterfall, The Post Office offers views of Mount Pearce and the expansive Happy Valley, which stretches out into the Tarkine wilderness. Waratah is nestled in a wilderness-rich pocket of Tasmania's North West and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and the ancient Tarkine wilderness.

Welcome to the top paddock! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the north west coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the wood fired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, its a Tasmanian version of luxury camping.

Enjoy all the delights of camping without the hassle of setting up and sleeping on the ground! Our Glamping tents provide full sized beds with inner spring mattresses, heated blankets, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating and heating. Your Glamping site has its own private campfire and fire wood is provided. Glampers have access to our heated amenities a short walk from your tent as well as access to our large camp lounge and kitchen complete with full cooking facilities and your own fridge.

Then ya could pour a drink at our Gin Bar, light the fire in the “man cave” and relax while the sausages burn on the bbq. Kids have a sandpit, basketball, boardgames. Welcome to The Galahs Nest, Your place to rest on the West. Unwind and relax in this Historic Hall that has been creatively turned into a unique and comfortable Home, complete with the outdoor bath of your dreams. The space itself provides two spacious bedrooms, with additional sleeping in the living area. A fully functioning kitchen and beautiful new bathroom. The open plan living opens out onto the deck where you will find our solid stone bath that is waiting for you!

'Mistover' Farm Cottage & Galloway Stud

'Mistover' is a 32 hectare property with pasture, bushland, creeks, dams and plenty of space for your pets to run! It is home to Galloway cattle and long term resident Jonesy, the English Pointer, who loves visitors! The accommodation is a two storey, 2 bedroom, self-contained stone cottage with open fire place and private balcony. 'Mistover' is situated along the Murchison Highway, 20 kms from Burnie/Wynyard Airport and is on the doorstep of the Tarkine Wilderness!

Dozens of birds, Spotted Tail Quoll, Pademelons, & Eastern Barred Bandicoot do visit, again depending on the depending on the season.
