The Beach Hut Whiritoa

Our beach bach (kiwi slang for "holiday house") is all about kicking back. Nestled only 300m walk from the pristine shoreline of Whiritoa Beach, our tranquil beach hut (a large Queen studio space equipped for 2 adults) invites you to escape. Take a long soak in the wood-fired hot tub after spending the day exploring the beach. (PLEASE NOTE that the hot tub is not available between 25th Dec to 7th Jan) down the end of a long, quiet driveway. Come and experience this special part of New Zealand.

Welcome to Nautilus House, our beautiful family beach house across the road from the beach. Watch the sunrise & sunset while you enjoy dinner & drinks on the deck in our quiet cul de sac. Walk down to the ocean for a swim in the lagoon or sea. Walk over the hill to secluded beaches and rock pools at Waimama Bay. In winter snuggle up next to the warm gas fire & play board games or cards. Nautilus house was built for our beloved parents in 1979 for their family to enjoy.

You're spoilt for choice with excellent dining options 10-20 minutes away and Waihi Beach just a 25-minute drive, indulge in relaxation. Explore Karangahake Gorge walkways 5 minutes down the road. Return to bask in peaceful ambiance, whether in the outdoor bath, on the deck, by the fire, or stargazing from the hammock.
