A 5 minutes' walk down to the town's restaurants, pubs & shops, and good transport links to Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Derby. Walkers can explore the High Peak Trail directly from the cottage.

A three-bedroom, three sitting room townhouse full of charm, nestling in picturesque Wirksworth in the heart of Derbyshire. There is plenty of space for 6 people and the house is ideal for friends or family - an excellent base for a walking or cycling holiday in the Peak District. The Wee House on the Hill is a perfect retreat for a relaxing get away. Country walks straight from the door or a short stroll down into Wirksworth, an ancient market town steeped in history. The cottage is located in one of the oldest parts of Wirksworth, where miners cottages were randomly built around the hillside with a unique maze of paths and 'ginnels' (alleyways). Lots of independent shops and cafes & quirky pubs. Not forgetting Wirksworth's very own 'cool' & independent cinema!

Acacia Cottage has wonderful views and is a great location (walks, peak district, cycle track). It is also very well appointed and equipped. Originally three miners cottages, Acacia Cottage boasts three good-sized double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one study/bedroom with a sofabed, plus modern kitchen with gas range, large dining room, sitting room, study and large sunroom. Under-floor heating and wood burner make this delightful snug in winter. Good wi-fi and flat screen tv/DVD.

Matchbox Cottage is an idyllic retreat to the South East of the Peak District, perfect for up to 4 people. We have some of the best walks in England right on our doorstep. Dog friendly, one small or medium dog welcome. Situated only a 4 minute downhill walk to the centre of the historic, picturesque village of Wirksworth.
