Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Mid Nov - Mar we have a winter mode as the water can freeze.

Situated at the end of an 8 mile single track road off the NC500, it's perfect to explore the Highlands. Created with love and attention to detail, we wish that you will experience a unique stay in a wonderful little crofting township. Dogs on leads are very welcome.

Foulis Castle, Evanton is near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.

Falasgair

Falasgair is a modern cabin on a working croft, which captures uninterrupted views over Portree bay, Ben Tianavaig and the Cuillin hills in the far distance. The cabin itself has a full height atrium which includes a functional kitchenette, seating area, log-burner and a three-piece bathroom suite. The mezzanine level is accessed by a wooden staircase featuring a comfortable double bed. Situated just off the Scorrybreach trail this is the perfect launchpad for your Skye adventure.

Annie's annex

We have a flat joined onto our home a working croft overlooking Polin beach. Inside is a large bedroom wth ensuite bathroom, then a large open plan kitchen and living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, oven and hob, microwave, and a large TV with free view. Wifi is available but is slow. Outside has a private parking space with a table and bench for sitting at. No pets. We are three miles from kinlochbervie village but a five minute walk to Polin beach.

Kenandra is a new unique bespoke self catering hut on the family Croft at Aiden house in the village off Durness. This modern hut has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Breathtaking sea and mountain views with lots off wildlife too see. The hut has LPG heating so lovely and warm summer and winter. Your home from home awaits.

The Wallaby's

The Wallaby's is located in the middle of Durness, the most north-westerly village on the UK mainland and sits on the famed North Coast 500 route. The house has recently been fully renovated, with insulation being added to lower its carbon footprint. We have also fitted a new bathroom, kitchen and decorated throughout.
