New for 2023, Senga is a south facing cabin Located on the East NC 500.Sat on an 11 acre croft, it has views encompassing the sea to the South and the amazing coastal cliffs and stunning mountains to the West. What an idylic place to relax and base your scottish holiday from. With low levels of light pollution, a clear galaxy of unbelievable stars and planets look as though they can be reached for. Sitting on the terrace at night is one of the most breathtaking experiences we have seen.Also, as south facing, the sunsets and sunrises are also a memory in the making. You may also experience the Tornado jets fly over as they are based at RAF Lossiemouth. Cosy Shepherd’s Hut near NC500 with Sea Views

At only five miles from the popular John o Groats signpost, Jo and Karina would love to welcome you at one of three cozy self-catering glamping pods at The Crofter's Snug - lots of local area info on our website. Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

The Cairn hut

Get away from it all when you stay in our cosy shepherds hut. Set 2 miles from the NC500 route near the village of Lybster in a rural spot. Get ready for country views and big dark skies at night. An ideal spot to capture the aurora borealis or see the wild deer roaming the surrounding fields. Our cosy cabin is capable of sleeping up to 2 adults and 1 child. The cabin has an induction hob for cooking and comes with its own seperate bathroom facility next door plus an outside firepit area.

The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Easily accessed from the A9 (on the NC500 route) and just a two-minute walk from a secluded beach and estuary with lots of short walks from the front door and plenty longer ones in the vicinity.
