Rustic Cottage in a Wild Flower Meadow

Sitting pretty in a wild flower meadow surrounded by open fields, this barn conversion is countryside simplicity at its best: updated appliances and rustic furniture arranged for open-plan living to relax unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The barn is located in the meadow behind our thatched cottage. The space is entirely your own and is self catered with a well equipped open plan kitchen. We're on hand should you need any advice or assistance during your stay, though you'll have your own privacy and can interact as much or as little as you'd like. Enjoy pastoral tranquility here whilst being within an easy 10-minute reach of the medieval charm of Lavenham. Public footpaths are close by or venture further afield to admire the beautiful Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds. Once you arrive in the barn, there is a small collection of books about the surrounding area and county. We can of course recommend places to visit.

Entrance Having parked on the allocated gravel drive, follow the short path and enter Blackberry Barn through the front door, directly into the living space, with plenty of coat hooks and space for boots and shoes. Dining/Kitchen With hardwood flooring and plenty of windows, this open plan, practical and bright space is home to the dining area with a large wooden table and eight chairs for comfortable family meals. The kitchen is around to the right, at the rear of the property with appliances

The Garden Studio

Our characterful Studio B&B is nestled in our garden at St. Catherine’s Hall, with its own small private garden. We are 2 minutes from Melford’s main Street but on the edge of the countryside, which offers some wonderful walks. Kentwell Hall, Melford Hall, the lovely Holy Trinity Church, 2 antique warehouses, 8 pubs with restaurants and numerous tea shops are all within walking distance. Lavenham and Clare are only a short drive away. Breakfast is an option in our country kitchen @ £12pp

Spadgers is a really sweet little flax worker cottage in a terrace of 18th Century grade II listed cottages off the beautiful Village Green where two stately homes that are open to the public are, along with an excellent Inn and an outstanding restaurant. The cottage is in the bustling Medieval Village of Long Melford made famous by the TV series Lovejoys. Spadgers is lovely cosy holiday cottage and has direct access to countryside footpaths from its back garden. 2 Dogs or Cats welcome

It sits adjacent to The Old Cottage, a charmingly wonky Tudor house, dating back to the 1430s, occupied by hosts Janine and Richard. There are plenty of beautiful walks and fascinating places to visit nearby, including medieval Lavenham, the old market town of Sudbury with is fabulous Gainsborough museum, and Bury St Edmunds and its fine Abbey.

Our lodges are fully insulated. Have double glazing. Central heating. Perfect for all year round. Both lodges sleep upto 6 guests. They are well equipped with en-suite. television. Sofa and full kitchen inside. We are surrounded by lovely countryside. But also only a 10 minute walk into Long Melford. Which has lots of pubs and restaurants. The lodges are our own design. You will not find anything like them in the country. Totally unique. You can fish the lake. 2 wells behaved dogs max.
