Cwm Farm Cwtch, is a homely cottage set on a farm in Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil. You can enjoy the fantastic views and scenery, take a walk around our farm and interact with the animals (donkeys, chickens, dogs). Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, The Cwtch is in a perfect location for a number of activities, e.g Brecon Mountain Railway, Bikepark Wales, Morlais Golf Course, River fishing and lots more. Ysgubor Bach is a converted barn situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park and approximately a 2 hour hike to Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales and Southern Britain. Bike Park Wales, built by mountain bike riders is on our doorstep and we are just 20 minutes by car from famous Waterfall Country. Zip World and Penderyn Whiskey are also well worth a visit. Ysgubor Bach is comfortable, has all modern amenities and is enhanced by many original features.

Ty Cartrefol used to our family home, hence the name Ty Cartrefol, the welsh name for Homely House. We believe that we can provide a welsh home from home experience for those are looking for it as well as a wonderful base for cyclists, walkers, tourists and families alike. We are in a residential area however we are are in the perfect location for our guests to experience Bike Park Wales, the Taff Trail and the beauty of the Brecon Beacons and so many other great places.

Excellent road links for the Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Zip World Tower, Pen-y-Fan, Waterfall Walks, Show Caves, Cardiff, Swansea, Beaches and Mid-Wales. This is an urban setting with pubs, a post office, shop, and takeaways all nearby. Aberdare Town is 1 mile away. Dare Valley Country Park is a pleasant 2 mile walk away and there are other walks from the door although none are obvious so please ask for details.

This bright and modern old miners cottage is a self contained home which includes 3 bedrooms and a practical bathroom on the first floor. Meanwhile the ground floor contains a kitchen and a large living/dining area with lots of light. The garden includes a lock up area for 6 bikes, where padlocks can be added as well as a place to sit to have a drink and relax. WIFI is FREE! We are perfectly located for Bike Park Wales, Brecon Beacons, Merthyr Rising, etc.

Gethin View is a perfect location for your visit to Bikepark Wales, Brecon Beacons and 4 falls. 5 minutes walk to the train and bus station and a ten minute ride to the Bikepark. We can accommodate up to eight guests with secure bike storage inside the property. If you require additional space we have a second property 2 mins walk away, sleeping up to 8 guests (Gethin Lodge). Bike hire and guided rides around the Brecon Beacons are available on request.
