The authentic dishes of Dalmatian Zagora include uštipak (a type of fried dough) served with kajmak (a type of soft cheese), cheese from tub and goatskin, home-made prosciutto, koštradina and raštika (a type of kale), frogs with prosciutto, snails, eel and frog brudet (similar to a stew), veal and lamb under sač (a special iron lid designed for baking), and many more. Apart from these, in konoba restaurants Didov san we recommend traditional dishes such as Didova tava (Grandpa’s pan) and Babina tava (Grandma’s pan), large smoked skewer and other traditional specialties.
