Our land has lots to explore with over a mile of trails - dozens of bird species, wild blackberries, trout, mushrooms, and a garden you are welcome to pick from. There's lots more within an hour's drive or less. Here is a sampling.

A mile of rocky shoreline along Lake Ontario, less than an hour from the house. Hiking trails, with one that brings you to a big heron rookery, which has a prehistoric, Dr. Seuss-like feel to it. The Nature Center is just a mile from the Sterling Renaissance Festival, and is a great place to cool off.
