Shanahan Ridge Trailhead
1915 Lehigh StA gateway to the trails of Bear Mountain, Devil's Arch, and the Flatirons. Most of the trails are off-leash friendly for dogs. Be prepared-- while close to home, these trails become steep and gnarly very quickly!
This is a great park. Around Viele Lake is a lovely walking path with fitness stations. There also is a large playground for children and rain-covered picnic area.

This is a large off-leash dog park. There is an area for big dogs, a separate area for small dogs, and a third area for water-loving dogs to play in the pond.

Mt. Sanitas is one of the "easier" summits in Boulder and provides wonderful views of the city. It is the most winter friendly trail since most of it is in direct sunlight keeping too much snow/ice from accumulating. Dogs are allowed off-leash for most of the trail.
