Baker's Cottage is the perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life. Relaxing on the porch, chilling in the sunroom, or hanging out back by the creek, we know you will find your sweet spot here. The private backyard offers a great place to play games, cool off in the water, catch fireflies, or roast marshmallows while gathered around the fire. The cottage is just a short 2 minute walk to the New River and a 15 minute drive to food and shopping in West Jefferson.

Creekside Bungalow (at Dream Rock Silo)

We have been renovating an old 1950's dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private bungalow on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. Hurrican Helene did not damage the area. HWY 421 to 77 to 21 is open. Enjoy the beautiful mountains of North Carolina where the second oldest river runs through! Canoeing, fishing, tubing, hiking & the slender of nature. Great for a single person or a couple. Or just sit on the porch overlooking the river and relax! There are great restaurants in town and the feel of small-town people. This is our happy place, and I know it will become yours too.
