The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. The recently refurbished and modernised Ethel's Cottage is in an idyllic location, flanked by two rivers. This gate lodge cottage offers the perfect place to stay for a few nights or longer! Easily accessed from the A9 (on the NC500 route) and just a two-minute walk from a secluded beach and estuary with lots of short walks from the front door and plenty longer ones in the vicinity. Modern appliances and comfortable furnishings, the cottage has everything you will need for a relaxing break.

Torran Cottage is nestled within a UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Flow Country! Whilst superbly modernised throughout, the cottage retains its original features, including wonderful flagstone flooring, deep-silled windows set into thick stone walls, and a large wood burner for cosy evenings. The views from the hot tub and gardens are unbelievable. Panoramic vistas look east to Morven and the Scarabens, south to Ben Klibreck and west to distant views of Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.

Old country cottage built in 1873 set in the small village of Melvich with amazing coastal views and breathtaking scenery. On the North Coast 500 route, this property offers an ideal location for exploring both Caithness and Sutherland. Melvich boasts a sandy beach within a 5 minute walk from the cottage. This property has a private and enclosed garden with private parking. There is an open fire in the living room which would be set by the host. Dog friendly, max 2 dogs.

This converted building in the picturesque village of Melvich has been recently renovated and has amazing sea views including the Orkney islands! Offering WiFi, television, and off-road parking for one car. Also, with the new addition of a woodburning stove, you will certainly not be cold! Ideally situated for exploring the north of Sutherland and Caithness, this area is popular for walking, fishing, surfing, golfing and has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!

Hillside Camping Pods - Morven Pod NC500

Morven Pod is situated next to Stroma Pod in the rural village of Auckengill in Caithness, five miles south of John O'Groats. Morven Pod has sea and countryside views. The shower block is just a few steps away and Morven Pod has it's own shower, toilet and sink within the block so no shared facilities! All bedding and towels are provided as well as complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast cereals. One small or medium size dog is allowed. We do not have WiFi.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Perfectly situated in the open countryside beside the A99 and on the popular NC500 route, our cabin boasts beautiful views out to the North sea. Our cabin can comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 children with a double bed and double sofa bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen area containing a over, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster and kettle, and has a separate bathroom with toilet, sink and power shower.

Taigh Neonach is Gaelic for odd cottage which suits its slightly unconventional character. A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

Haven Gore

Haven Gore is situated on the famous North Coast 500 route, 2 miles from John O'Groats, overlooking stunning seaviews of the Orkney Islands. The house offers spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. You can watch tv in our living room or relax with a book in our sunroom or looking out over the views while having your morning coffee ☕️. We also provide a Welcome tray of essentials for your stay as well as tea, and coffee.

Cathel's Cottage - Outstanding Views

Cosy remote cottage on the North coast with beautiful views of the Orkney Isles from the front door. Perfectly situated for exploring Sutherland to the West and Caithness to the East. The cottage consists of a kitchen/ livingroom on the ground floor with a double bedroom and separate bathroom (shower only) up stairs. Access by spiral stairs. Wood burning stove in the living area (fuel supplied)
