Bromans Barn is on Mersea Island beside a lovely Nature Reserve which rolls down to the sea where the seals bask. It is a romantic cottage for two with an elegant mix of ecological build and sympathetic historical renovation. Bromans is impressively spacious but also very cosy and relaxing. Absolutely no groups of more than four guests or parties of any kind. High tide sometimes cuts off the house so please be aware of this.

There is direct access from the bottom of the garden onto the ‘sea wall’ along the river, for walks and wonderful birdwatching. There is a duckpond (fenced) by the house and chickens (collect the eggs), and a large summerhouse with veranda in the garden, as well as a paddock of alpacas!
