A beautiful, 16th century cottage in an area of outstanding natural beauty close to the village of Fletching in East Sussex. Salters Green Oast House is reputed be the smallest oast in Sussex where hops used to be dried for the farmer's ale. Situated down a narrow lane off the A267on a quiet and secluded 64 acre cattle farm, which you are free to explore (though the cattle currently winter nearby), it is 15 minutes from Tunbridge Wells and about 30 mins drive from Eastbourne and the wider coast. Historic villages of Rotherfield and Mayfield are 5 mins away by car with pubs, cafes and shops.

It sits on the Kent and East Sussex border in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its wide range of eating places and shops, Tunbridge Wells is a great base from which to explore the beautiful Garden of England. The owners live alongside the Cowshed but respect your privacy.

Perfectly presented picture postcard cottage, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, the inspiration for the Winnie-The-Pooh books and 3 minutes drive to the historic village of Hartfield for the village store, Pooh Corner tea rooms, pubs and farm shop. This is a great location to explore the Kent & Sussex countryside. The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is a 20 minute drive and only 45 minutes to the South Coast. We are family friendly.
