La Herradura is a beautiful traditional Spanish fishing village. In the summer tourists flock to the town to enjoy the chiringuittos on the beach and the superb water sports they have to offer.

"La Herradura", which means "horseshoe" in Spanish is one of the most picturesque place in South of Spain. Running from the town of Maro (Nerja) all the way to La Herradura is the National park of Los Acantilados (the cliffs), making it perfect for beach holidays, hiking and water sports days full of fun, adventure and sun!

Lovely small beach, RHS of La Herradura, the main strip is a large one but there is a boulder seperating the right side, giving it a more secret feel, and a bit quieter. Great clear waters for snorkelling.

This is a favorite holiday spot for everyone in Andalucia. It has a lovely beach and many cafes and restaurants. The chic Marina de Leste port and neighborhood is highly recommended for a visit.
