Kings Beach shopping options can make you happy on the inside too. Check out the markets and gift shops that carry organic foods, locally made sauces, oils and jams, deli items, smoothies and tonics, dry goods, craft beers and more. Need your daily shot of wheatgrass juice? No worries, it’s found at Kings Beach stores. Hardware and grocery stores offer t-shirts, postcards and other souvenirs. LAKE TAHOE PHOTO GALLERY Lake Tahoe is blessed with some of the most impressive views in the world, but sometimes it is difficult to truly capture her beauty on camera. That is why places like Lake Tahoe Photo Gallery are so important. Local owners Sky and Leah Emerson have taken their impressive talents of taking bright, colorful Lake Tahoe photographs and allowing them to shine on metal, canvas or paper prints. This give the local or visitor opportunity to take these treasures home in the form of an easy-to-transport small print or a gigantic, wall-filling, 9-foot panorama that will be treasured forever. The gallery offers a multitude of gorgeous shots, but if you don't see something that inspires you, Sky and Leah will work with you to create a custom piece that complements your decor. They also ship anywhere in the United States. ADRIFT TAHOE Owned and operated by a true Tahoe local, Adrift Tahoe carries the leading brands of standup paddleboards for sale or rent, including its own line of handcrafted surf and SUP boards. The beach is just outside Adrift's back door, so you can walk your rental or potential purchase right out to the sand and launch into the lake for a test drive or a day’s journey. Adrift also rents canoes and kayaks and stocks all the equipment you’ll need for a day on the water, including apparel, hats, sandals, sunglasses and sundries. Whether you’re just starting out or are an advanced paddler, the expert staff can set you up with the right gear for all your needs. Adrift Tahoe is closed in the winter. LADY LUCK SKATE & SMOKE SHOP Lady Luck is the North Shore’s original smoke shop. Owned and operated by skaters and stoners, they sell everything a skater or smoker might need at their three convenient locations. They sell bongs, pipes, kratom, rolling papers, blunt wraps and the largest selection of disposable vapes around the lake, but that's not all. Lady Luck’s dope skate shop has one of the largest selections of skate decks in Tahoe. They also sell sweatshirts, shirts, shoes, hats and all kinds of skate gear. THE ROBIN'S NEST The yellow building in the center of Kings Beach houses The Robin's Nest, where you will find gifts for everyone for all seasons. Peruse the aisles to see the great selection of treasures in this Tahoe-style store. You’ll find home decor, signs, souvenirs, soaps, lotions, candles, local tees and hats, Christmas ornaments, the yummy Tahoe Toffee, inspirational gifts and a garden section. Check out their little wood-carved bears and Tahoe wooden maps too. They have an extensive jewelry department, including Tahoe-themed jewelry. Beyond food products, the store also has a great selection of toys that will get your cat or dog excited. JAI YEN Jai Yen features gifts and crafts from Thailand, Laos, Nepal, Bali and Burma as well as items by domestic and local craftspeople and artists. Owner Christy Lee Smith lives part of the year in Asia, traveling to different countries to discover new and innovative artists' works to sell in her shop and help the economies of these Asian communities. Located in a cabin set back from the main drag in Kings Beach, Jai Yen has a large, well-tended garden and pond out front. Step inside on a cold day to the warmth of a fire and a cup of hot tea. Marvel at the plethora of leather goods, jewelry, soaps and oils, colorful scarves, teapots, statues, clothing, hats, home decor, stonework and iconic flying pigs. Jai Yen is open seasonally, in the summer months and in December. LAKESHORE SPORTS If you believe that you can never have too much of a good thing, you’ll be glad to hear the news that Willard’s Sport Shop in Tahoe City has opened an additional location in Kings Beach under the name of Lakeshore Sports.
