Take the train to L.A. north or south to San Diego or Tijuana, Mexico on Metro link and Amtrak routes. Beautiful scenery and Trail access starts there. Beautiful beach and parking free till 9 a.m. Ellie's Table around the corner and public swimming pool.

This is the perfect place to start a walk on the trail. Has a snack bar and swing sets.
