Hatchlands Park is another National Trust property great for long dog walks. A spot of afternoon tea in the classic English country house is also enjoyable.
Hatchlands Park was built in the 1750s for naval hero Admiral Edward Boscawen and his wife Fanny, since then it has housed wealthy families, a finishing school for girls and even a printing press. Today you can visit the parkland or stop for coffee in the Kitchen Café all year round.
Hatchlands is a Natioal Trust Georgian mansion with an historic keyboard collection and beautiful rooms. It also has wonderful grounds with gardens by Gertrude Jekyll. 15 miles.
