The ABC Stores are the only places in North Carolina where you can purchase bottles of liquor. No other items are sold here.

North Carolina has laws in place that only allow state run ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) to buy liquor for individual purchase. You can get beer and wine at any grocery or convenient store, but you have to get liquor at an ABC store. *Tip, your credit card name MUST match your ID. If you need to purchase large amounts for an event, you may need a special event permit - which you can obtain at the ABC store.

Liquor Store - Sale of alcohol is controlled (and taxed) by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) in North Carolina. This is the closest place to buy spirits.
