Home to the Carter Family Music performances and museum. June Carter Cash and Johnny were performing family here with many locals cherishing those memories. Artists perform in a family atmosphere, with "flatfootin" dancing encouraged! Summer concerts are heavily attended. Schedules can be seen online with a hard copy in the suite.

The Carter Family Fold is meant to commemorate the famous Cater family, whose first recordings in 1927 sparked the commercial country music industry. Now, you can come in every Saturday night to see a performance of old-time country and folk music. This place is a true piece of Virginia history.

Carter Fold is a memorial music center in Hiltons, VA celebrating and honoring the memory of the Carter Family (A.P., Sara and Maybelle Carter) the first family of country music. There are weekly performances dedicated to the preservation and presentation of traditional mountain and folk music. You will have a fabulous time and will see and can enjoy traditional clogging.
