Pop into town/Abbey via the scenic route! The steps up are just out the front door and to the right.

Hexham’s parks are really pretty, perfect for taking a picnic and just watching the world go by. Sometimes, in summer time, on a Sunday afternoon there is live music. At Christmas the park is decorated with fairy light and even Santa Claus comes for a visit.

Twice a month on a Saturday (they post their dates online), producers come from within a 50 mile range of the town, so you know that the meat and veg are locally produced.
