This trailhead is just 1/2 mile up the road from the cabin. It is an all day hike only in late summer when no snow is on the trail. Hikes usually leave by 5 am to complete the hike at a reasonable time.

Hike all or part of the famous Mount Timpanogos hike. Prepare for this one. The hike is supposed to take at least 7 hours if you hike to the top. I have not done this one but I hear the last mile is basically crawling on hands and knees to get up the loose rock to the top. There is a shack with a guest book to sign if you make it. Most people do this hike overnight (leave at midnight) and reach the top in time for sunrise. Epic views.
