Depicts the story of Cascais and its fishing history. Showed a lot about local people and how they made a living over the years. Lots of historical sea stories and a whole room about fish and sharks.
The Museum of the Sea in Cascais, named after portuguese king D.Carlos, regularly holds short term temporary exhibits, conferences and seminars under the global theme of the Sea.
Rare fossils, shells, some vestiges of old boats and shipwrecks of the Tagus and Sado are part of the exhibition.
