Great for watching aircraft take off and land. No charge . Home of the Royal Navy's maritime Merlins- it is one of the biggest helicopter bases in Europe. With 3000 personnel it is one of the biggest single site employers in Cornwall. You can see Merlins, Hawk jets

Makes for an interesting place stop between Helston / Lizard and home to enjoy your car pasty- depends what’s flying but you can see all kinds of aircraft taking off , manoeuvring and landing. There’s information boards. It’s a free car park , free viewing , no opening times.
