The Dalí Theatre-Museum is the largest surrealistic object in the world. It is located in the the former Municipal Theatre, a 19th century construction destroyed at the end of the Spanish Civil War. On its ruins, Dalí decided to create his museum. It is at around 1 hour drive from Plata d'Aro by car and entry tickets cost around 9-14 Euros. My Tip : Salvador Dalí often visited Cadaqués in his childhood, and later kept a home in Port Lligat, a small village on a bay next to the town. Try therefore to plan a whole day to have the opportunity to visit also Cadaqués and Portlligat, where there is an additional museum of Dali.
