You will find the café Papeneiland ( Anno 1642 ) at the corner of the Prinsengracht nr1 and the Brouwersgracht. The corner where the café is situated is one of the most well known and typical corners of Amsterdam, and there are many drawings and paintings made of this typical Amsterdam view. The cafe itself is a typical example of a cosey and so called ''bruine kroeg'' No music is being played, except on special occasions and festivities, the music will have to come from the quests themselves! The drinks and food which are being served is a typical for this kind of café, different kind of ales from the draft and typical Amsterdam drinks from the famous, Amsterdam based.

Great part of the city to start a night with a beer. Very typical traditional Dutch pub. Great service, friendly staff.
