Excellent for bird watchers. The most beautiful birds in the world can be seen every single evening in thousands flying across the sanctuary. Its beautiful red attire creates a spectacular view across the swamp. Tours are available every evening at 4:00pm

The Caroni Swamp and Bird Sanctuary is located about 15 minutes drive from the accommodation. The Caroni Swamp is a 12,000 acre natural habitat of Trinidad and Tobago's Scarlet Ibis (one of the two national birds of Trinidad and Tobago). The major attraction here is the ritualistic roosting habits of these bright red bids. Tours are normally conducted close to sunset.
