In summer - take the gondola to Roundhouse for lunch and hike down. Live music on some days. In winter - main base lodge for skiing.

Beautiful lodge at the base of the River Run side of Bald Mountain. Ski lift and gondola available from here to take you up.

Skiing or hiking or mountain biking. For all of these, the trails are not for the faint of heart. The mountain does not have any "easy ways down" that other ski mountains do. If you take your mountain bike up to the top, be ready for flow trails and expert terrain.

Lots of hiking and biking trails on Bald Mountain, or you can purchase a gondola ride. If you make it to the top of the gondola they will give you a free ride down. Inquire at the desk to see what trails will be good for you. We like the scenic overlook hike... it's 3.2 miles round trip, and takes you up to a platform that overlooks the whole town. Recommend you do this (or any hike) relatively early to avoid the heat! The first part of it is in shade, though, so you should be all right. Make sure to take plenty of water.

Base of the Bald Mountain / Mt Baldy ski mountain. Great lodge for food, drinks, music and get warm by the fire on a cold day.
