Williamsburg Bridge will make Brooklyn a walking distance. Enjoy the walk and the view! (25 min to the other side by walk.)

Walk it. Far fewer people than the Brooklyn Bridge, and arguably better views. Oh, and then spend the day in Williamsburg.
