Imado Shrine in Asakusa on the banks of the Sumida River is a popular shrine for women as a power spot for marriage. It is said to be the birthplace of maneki-neko, and there are many cute cat figurines in the precincts as well as Imato-yaki beckoning cats, where the couple's cats line up side by side.
