place you must see! Surrounded by the crystal clear sea, good for diving and snorkeling, nice to stay for the sunset enjoying the views from the restaurant! Small boat will bring you for 8 eur to the cave and back :) Unique place to chill and to enjoy a swim and good food!

Blue Grotto is a complex of sea caves along the south eastern part of Malta, right across from the little islet of Filfla. On sunny days, the reflection of sunlight on the white sandy seafloor lights up the caves in bright blue hues, which is a true spectacle to admire! Tourists can enjoy the amazing grotto via local boat trips. It is also a very popular diving, snorkeling and swimming spot, with very clear, clean and deep waters.

Blue Grotto is located 2km away from Zurrieq town. It got its name and reputation from the intense blue color of the water in the cave. You can see it from above at a sightseeing location just outside the city. You can also go to the small Wied Iz Zurrieq port, 2min further away by car, and take a 30 min boat tour. Remember to check the weather conditions beforehand, there won’t be any tour if the sea is too stormy.
