The Dickens House museum is housed in the cottage that was Charles Dickens’ inspiration for the home of Betsey Trotwood in David Copperfield.
Where Charles Dickens gained inspiration for his novel David Copperfield. The museum is very small with only a couple of rooms to wander through, but you can use your imagination to really feel what it was like. There's also Bleak House up the road where Charles Dickens wrote, it's now a private residence but still has nice views and a link to Broadstairs' smugglers history. A nice injection of culture into your afternoon (often only opens 1-6pm so check website for details).
