This one is a little further away than California Caverns - but has more flexible hours and can be combined with wineries or other fun in Angels Camp/Murphys.

Small wine town with one main street to stop, eat and refuel before heading up to Bear Valley. One hour away from BV. Mercer caverns is right inside town.
