Virginia Highlands (specifically the shops at the corner of Virginia and North Highland walking towards Amsterdam) is a great place to window shop and grab coffee / brunch along the way.

Located in the historic Poncey Highlands neighborhood, Young Blood Boutique is DANGEROUS! Every time I stop in, I inevitably find a candle, print, or necklace that I cannot live without. It's a really lovely spot to pick up a gift or two; they have everything from jewelry made in the US, to leather goods, to the yummiest smelling candles, perfumes, and body sprays you could possibly dream up. Poncey Highlands is highly walkable, so wear your comfy shoes and explore!
